Vivanco⁠ Cuvée Inédita Reserva Extra Brut 2019 is a pioneering D.O.Ca. Rioja quality sparkling wine created by winemaker Rafael Vivanco to explore the potential of native Rioja white grapes in traditional-method sparkling wine. The 2019 comes from the estate’s Finca La Concepción vineyard in Briones, Rioja Alta, and blends 45% Maturana Blanca, 30% Tempranillo Blanco, 15% Viura and 10% Chardonnay. The warmer, more Mediterranean-influenced 2019 season produced fruit with greater concentration and aromatic expression. 

Each variety was harvested and vinified separately in small stainless-steel tanks before blending and secondary fermentation in bottle. The wine matured 30 months on its lees, followed by at least six additional months under cork, and received an exceptionally low 0.2 g/L dosage. Only 9,737 numbered bottles were produced, delivering fine persistent bubbles, stone fruit, citrus, white flowers, nuts and brioche over a creamy, vibrant palate with a deep mineral and saline finish.
