Piper-Heidsieck Hors-Série 1982 is the second Champagne release in the House’s Hors-Série collection, created to reinterpret exceptional wines from its historic cellars. This rare cuvée revisits the legendary Brut Sauvage 1982, transforming the vintage through nearly four decades of maturation and a 2022 disgorgement into a distinctive expression of time, freshness and maturity.
Crafted from 60% Pinot Noir and 40% Chardonnay from Grand Cru vineyards, Hors-Série 1982 spent 39 years on the lees before disgorgement and was finished at an Extra Brut dosage of 4 g/L. Only 3,000 bottles were disgorged, making this an exceptionally limited release. Its profile combines mirabelle plum, dried pineapple, quince, ginger and bergamot tea with smoky coffee, toast and pronounced mineral character.
