Carmelo Rodero Reserva is a structured, elegant red from Bodegas Rodero in Pedrosa de Duero, Burgos, within D.O. Ribera del Duero. The documented 2020 release is composed of 90% Tempranillo and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon from approximately 45-year-old vineyards, reflecting the winery’s combination of mature estate fruit and precise, gravity-fed winemaking.
For the 2020 vintage, malolactic fermentation takes place in barrel before the wine matures for 21 months in French oak. Extended bottle maturation further integrates the wine, producing a concentrated yet polished Reserva with ripe fruit, vanilla, cinnamon, coffee and toasted nuances, harmonious tannins and a long finish.
