Jameson Triple Distilled Irish Whiskey, also known as Jameson Original, is the signature blended Irish whiskey from Jameson. Produced at the Midleton Distillery in County Cork, Ireland, it combines traditional pot still whiskey made from malted and unmalted barley with fine grain whiskey. Both components are triple distilled, a defining part of the Jameson production style.
Jameson Original is matured for at least four years in seasoned American oak ex-bourbon barrels and Spanish oak sherry-seasoned casks. These casks contribute toasted wood, vanilla, dried-fruit and sweet sherry character, producing the familiar balance of spice, nuttiness and vanilla with a smooth, lingering finish.
