Los Bobalistas Cuvée is a single-parcel red wine from Bodegas Illana, produced in D.O.P. Ribera del Júcar in Cuenca, Spain. Crafted from 100% Bobal, it comes from a selected harvest of the estate’s oldest Bobal vines, planted in 1969, highlighting the concentration, freshness and distinctive character of this native Spanish variety.
The grapes undergo a 48-hour cold pre-fermentation maceration followed by controlled fermentation at 22°C. The wine is then matured for 10 months in new 300-liter French oak barrels, adding spice and complexity to its intense cherry, raspberry and blackberry profile while preserving the vibrant fruit character of old-vine Bobal.
