Louis Roederer Blanc de Blancs 2015 is a vintage Champagne made exclusively from Chardonnay grown in the Maison’s “La Côte” vineyard in Avize, in the heart of the Côte des Blancs. Roederer has crafted Blanc de Blancs from this distinctive terroir since the 1930s, using slightly lower bottle pressure to preserve the wine’s finesse, delicate effervescence, and pure expression of Chardonnay.
The 2015 is made from 100% Chardonnay, with 16% of the wine matured in oak, no malolactic fermentation, and a dosage of 8 g/L. Roederer describes the vintage as ripe, pure and vertical, combining concentrated fruit with Avize’s chalk-driven character. Expect fine creamy bubbles, ripe citrus, white flowers, almond and wheat, evolving into smoky, buttery and toasted notes with a distinctly saline finish.
