Louis Roederer Cristal Rosé 2013 is a prestigious vintage rosé Champagne created from exceptional Grand Cru vineyards in Aÿ, Avize, and Le Mesnil-sur-Oger. First created in 1974, Cristal Rosé is sourced equally from Roederer’s La Rivière and La Côte estates and is crafted to express the purity, energy, and finesse of their chalk-rich terroirs.
The 2013 vintage blends 55% Pinot Noir with 45% Chardonnay and uses Roederer’s distinctive long, gentle “infusion” technique, in which Chardonnay juice is added to a Pinot Noir maceration so the varieties ferment together. Twenty percent of the wine was vinified in oak, with no malolactic fermentation and a dosage of 7 g/L, producing an intense yet refined Champagne with vibrant red fruit, citrus, creamy bubbles, and a long chalky, saline finish.
